SEATTLE MISC

Here is a selection of video works created in 2024 in Seattle, WA, showcasing various aspects of the city's arts and culture.

The MLB / Railspur 2024

In conjunction with Forest for the Trees programming at RailSpur during MLB All-Star Week, I produced a short documentary-style video capturing both the artists at work and the broader energy surrounding the event. The piece follows the progression from preparation and installation through the public-facing activation, documenting artists as they painted on site while also capturing the buildup, crowd, and atmosphere of the event itself. The goal was to create a cohesive portrait of the moment, balancing process-driven artist coverage with a sense of scale and place as Pioneer Square transformed into a temporary hub for public art and community gathering.

Jaque Fraqua - Tribal Identities of Washington State 2024

Jaque Fragua’s public mural Tribal Identities of Washington State is a large-scale work that honors the Indigenous presence of the region by naming and displaying the federally recognized tribes of Washington State in a highly visible urban space. The piece functions as both a visual roll call and a public acknowledgment, asserting Indigenous identity, continuity, and visibility within the contemporary city. I was hired to document the creation of the mural and produce a video capturing the work as it unfolded on site. The video focuses on the physical process of painting, the scale and setting of the installation, and the significance of the mural’s content, creating a record that situates the artwork within its cultural, spatial, and social context while allowing the project’s intent to remain central.

MSK / Montana Spray Paint 2024

In July 2024, during Forest for the Trees’ SPATIOTEMPORAL Project at RailSpur, a group of street and graffiti artists transformed the site and surrounding public spaces with large-scale murals and collaborative urban artworks. The project featured artists including Vizie, Trav, Roids, Rime, Askew One, and Revok, several of whom are members of the world-renowned MSK crew. Their work explored the relationship between space, time, and urban expression through site-specific painting. I was hired to document the project by creating a video that captured both the artists at work and the buildup and energy of the event itself. The resulting piece highlights individual creative processes alongside the collective momentum of the activation, offering viewers an immersive look at how this temporary public art environment came together.

Seattle Outdoor Fashion Week 2025

For Seattle Outdoor Fashion Week, I created an artistic promotional video that focused less on runway imagery and more on the lived experience at the heart of outdoor culture. The film follows a couple hiking together in the woods, paired with voiceover audio of their reflections on being in nature and spending time outdoors. Rather than presenting the event directly, the piece was designed to evoke a feeling, giving the audience a sensory sense of what it means to move through landscape, connect with another person, and exist within the rhythms of the natural world. The video served as an atmospheric introduction to the festival’s values, framing outdoor fashion as an extension of experience, environment, and everyday life rather than spectacle alone.
