The Neddy Artist Awards are one of the most respected honors for visual artists in the Pacific Northwest, recognizing outstanding achievement in contemporary art. Each year, the awards highlight a small group of finalists whose work plays a meaningful role in shaping Seattle’s cultural landscape.

    In 2025, I produced a series of short films profiling that year’s Neddy Award finalists. Working on location in artists’ studios and workspaces, I documented their creative processes and personal perspectives through a mix of observational footage and conversation. I handled all aspects of production, including directing, cinematography, and editing, with the goal of creating intimate, accessible videos that introduce viewers to each artist’s work, ideas, and personality. The films were created for public release and serve both as a record of the artists’ practices and as a way to make contemporary art more approachable to a wider audience.
